The Sitters & Company Story

The cofounders of Sitters & Company had more than a passing interest in the availability of qualified, reliable sitters when they founded the Phoenix based company in 2006. Each married for over ten years, with four children between the two of them, they discovered the frustrations and fears of trying to find local, qualified sitters for their children, pets, and homes. Because of their experiences, the two former military officers set their minds to creating a service that eliminated the stress associated with finding and scheduling qualified sitters without sacrificing peace of mind.

After months of searching for a local source of prescreened sitters, the owners saw the need to bring together reliable sitters, and connect them with busy yet discerning parents. Their mission of providing an opportunity for parents to run errands, attend functions, or even enjoy some well deserved "me time" while making the wellbeing of their children the top priority was the driving force that gave rise to Sitters & Company.
